Best method for streaming live feed of ants

Any recommendations for the best way and place/server to stream a live continuous feed of a budding ant colony? Like, is there a place on any of DMS’s online resources where a stream would be particularly well suited? We’re going to use a raspberry pi noir camera to record our ants but we’d also like to use this live stream to advertise DMS to like minded ant and Science people around DFW.

Yes, follow the http://www.instructables.com/id/Raspberry-Pi-remote-webcam/ instructable.

Basically just get a pi, usb webcam. Install noobs, ngrok and motion.

Configure motion to stream your cam to 0.0.0.0:8080
Run ngrok http 8080

Want to get fancy with the cam, then follow http://www.instructables.com/id/Tertial-Webcam/

What Dwight said, but yeah you can also use mjpg-streamer like the octoprint servers do. Or just get an IR IP camera.

@denzuko Thank you sir for the info! Science lab is going to be incorporating a bunch of raspberry pi technology in the near future if you’d like to show off any of those microcontroller and software skills. we could use the extra brain
