The next intro class is this coming Sunday, which is May 8, aka Mothers
Day.
Any attendees should wear natural fibers and close toe shoes. Long pants
and sun screen recommended.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Unfortunately I have family plans on Mother’s Day. When is the next available

Adding to this, does the weekend ever swap? As it is, that happens to be the weekend in always working. Or would i be better trying to get off that day?

The weekends do vary from month to month, depending upon availability of
the instructors. The next Introduction to Blacksmithing classes are as
follows:

Sunday, May 22at 11:00 a.m.
Sunday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m.
Sunday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m.

They have been submitted to the folks who keep the calendar and are posted.
Class is always on a Sunday. We will have the July, Aug, and Sept. classes
posted, as soon as we figure out what those dates are, so please keep
checking the DMS calendar.

We are working on a cancellation policy and hope to have that posted soon.

If you, or others, are truly interested in adding Blacksmith to your resume
as a job related skill, or simply interested in doing it more frequently
than we meet at DMS, I recommend you take the Blacksmithing classes offered
by Brookhaven College through their Continuing Education classes. These
classes are listed under the “Arts Academy.” They meet on Saturdays and
last for an entire semester. They are very good classes and are taught by
a full-time professional blacksmith who has around 30 years of experience.
All of the current instructors at DMS have been through the entire
Brookhaven course and taken additional classes as well.
