I suck at Photoshop CS6 / Lightroom (I have CS6 & Lightroom) and would like a few tips increasing the efficiency for basic tasks.
I prefer to barter if possible.
Things I may offer in trade are :
Custom picture framing - I have over 3000 choices, along with 1200 mats, and several other options.
Automotive help - assisting you at the space with routine maintenance or the like.
Wide format printing(12 color, 44" wide canon) on paper, cotton rag, canvas etc, and or stretching and framing/float framing.
Please be realistic in the barter - a ten minute lesson will not make for a $500 framed canvas.
@artnerdray holds Adobe workshops for Illustrator and Photoshop. He just had one on Thursday 6/2. If you have a project and need a hand, he’d be a good one to ask!
Thanks @bitta
Yes if you need some simple or complicated stuff done in Photoshop I can help. Im trying to build up the Adobe knowledge base in makerspace.
Just looking for (not limited to):
how to straighten an imported photo that does not have 90 degree corners
is it possible to set up templates & saving for printing multiple images on 44" wide media to reduce waste - instead of recreating the printable area every time.
basic editing on removing an item in an image and blending the area to look normal
Open image
View/Rulers turn on
In ruler area click drag and a light blue line comes in. Release it close to a line you want to make straight (90 degrees)
Select/All
Edit/Free Transform
Used the edge of the tool to adjust as needed.
If line is curved and needs to be straight right click and select warp. Adjust as needed.
What you are asking about can also be fixed in Adobe Lightroom. It may even be a tad easier for noob to use.
Just do a you tube search for “photoshop free trasform”
To make a template, I simply just make a file as I need it and save, the open the file Properties and lock it so it cant be saved.
Look up “Photoshop Clone Brush” to learn how to remove stuff from the image.
Right click on the left hand vertical menu bar, on the eyedropper tool, and select the ruler tool.
Position mouse over the image, left click and drag over something that you would like to appear either vertical or horizontal (a horizon, for instance). A faint dashed line will appear.
Click on “Straighten Layer” (above the horizontal ruler and below the top menu bar).
Then you can crop the image as desired to get rid of any odd corners, etc.
