That’s a step too far. Can’t show people how to machine an 80% AR on YT? That’s pretty lame. May as well ban books doing the same.

No need to do that - they barely teach yutes how to write in public schools these days, so reading may not be far behind…

Buh Lew my mind to hear “we no longer teach script writing”. Me: “You mean stage and screen plays?”. “No, I mean cursive handwriting. We have limited time, and other things are more important.” :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Not to mention, they are or seem to be teaching to the test.

Looks like that brings us to the core of the problem…

By the by, as someone who has always had atrocious handwriting, let me tell you how important and valuable cursive handwriting can be…

Take a drafting class where everything is done by hand including the lettering. Never could make the teacher happy.
Had teacher make comment “Never mix printing with cursive writing”.
Most of my handwriting is a hybridized mix. Go figure.

There are days I thank God that I went through the public school system while there was emphasis on math, science, and analytical skills.

Sadly, today’s educators think that is still the case.
The evidence, however, belies…

That’s the demise of artful signature which these days have been replaced with printed names comprised of headless stick figures. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m glad my kids can write cursive and have a proper signature.

Better start saving videos offline of anything you want to keep.

Specifically reloading related videos.

There are plenty of opportunities to learn for free outside of school. No excuses for being ignorant. YouTube is an example of typical Google mismanagement of a great idea - get rid of gun videos to be politically correct but keep the disturbing cartoons that involve children’s characters.

I’d bet dollars-to-dognuts that the videos in question provided very little ad revenue to the Google Machine.

They already de-monetized the gun videos. Gun video maker do not receive any ad revenues. They also disallowed linking to products in the video descriptions.

I think you guys produce good products and ensure proper people have gun licenses. Problem is that people that are going to use guns to hurt people are going to do so regardless of laws. I suggest staying moral and let the wind change. Just wait for the next fort hood shooter. Some over idealistic idiot that is without a record. Then they will see how stupid their censoring is.

No they won’t. The anti-gun leftists in charge of Google/YouTube think that guns are evil.

Freedom of expression isn’t a liberal vs conservative issue.

Regardless, some have found a very traditional alternative to YouTubes stringent policies.
