Autonomous Rover Robot w/ GPS RTK, Unity and Donkey Car 3 components

Join us for a great opportunity to see a sophisticated autonomous rover build.

Guest speaker Ross Melbourne will demonstrate his autonomous rover robot and talk through the cool stuff that makes it tick. Ross’s rover uses GPS RTK for navigation and a novel robot control system that employs Unity, Python and the Donkey Car 3 framework.

Ross’s robot control system has potential practical applications such as:

  • robotic lawn care
  • security patrol robots
  • autonomous delivery services

Ross will cover both the challenges and the lessons learned that he experienced while building out this capable robot platform.
