I saw that the new 35’s have autofocus does anyone know how to use it?
We haven’t had much success with auto-focus on lasers in the past. They don’t tend to be that precise and failure cases tend to be the head of the laser crashing into the material.
I would suggest we continue with our current process and just leave the auto-focus alone. There are too many circumstances which will give poor results to members if they rely on the feature. The most common of all, the head being adjusted beyond the 6mm stand off required.

That’s an optical z limit, it can be used in software as a z focus, but Nick is correct we should continue using the manual method taught in the class.
