Tonight was the Automotive Committee meeting and chair vote. The meeting was pretty short and sweet, but here are the notes I took…
Members Present:

Committee Chair Election:
- Tom confirmed his intent to run for chair
- All members voted in favor of Tom (yay! congrats Tom!
) - Brandon will stand down and let Tom take over managing area
Committee Discussion:

Status of Parts Washer - DMS leases the parts washer for ~$300 a month, had it for about 2-3 years. Members voiced support for keeping it because of its usefulness, Tom is looking into another option that DMS could purchase that’s more dishwasher-style. Load parts in and turn it on rather than hold it in washer.

Desire for Auto Classes - Zach and Tom want to teach range of automotive classes. Committee was supportive, no restriction on classes in lease/insurance. Would be good source of revenue for the committee. Propose to charge small fee per class to ensure student attendance, much like what other committees have done successfully.

Idea to Add Exhaust Ventilation - Possibly add ducting to send fumes outside.
