-all kilns have been repaired and are currently running. We have started a kiln maintenance log and will be posting it on the inside of the teacher’s cabinet this weekend.
-kilns are being fired 24% more now than this time last year, numbers and dates will be provided for review.
3. Bettering the Space-
-proposal for a new kiln
(1222, review model/cost/new shelves, etc)
-vote on proposed kiln
-community cleaning day planning
-set another date for wall painting, take vote:
Aug 19, 25, 26, or 27
(sorry I fell through on this in July!)
4. Upcoming Community Events-
-ideas for August and September’s community events:
-Personal studio tour was an idea expressed at the last community event
-We need gold pots made for October’s DMS front room display, maybe we could make a community day of that? The theme is Pirates of the Caribbean
5. Teachers/Classes-
-shout out to Chris Cooper for organizing July’s community event, bringing lemonade, sharing knowledge and clay
-review class turnout and which classes we need more of
-proposal: take a tour led by Sonya to see the glaze sprayer at Dallas College. Set a date in Aug/Sept for those interested.
6. Any proposed topics to discuss that were not on the agenda

Since members pay to take the class, members take the leftover clay home instead of wadding the clay back up and letting it set on the shelf and drying out.
