Attention all committee chairs/co/vice

Hey committee chairs,

lets have a meeting between all committee chairs/co/vice. when will be a good time to do so? its open to public: however its mostly for committee chairs to talk to the others to solve problems and let the others know whats going on in your area.

I think this a great idea. Maybe this should happen on a regular basis - monthly? quarterly?

Iā€™m not a big fan of meetings, why wait around to talk to others, why not talk now?

Because others are not always around to talk too. Iā€™d hope for monthly.

Luckily technology has progressed enough where people can communicate without having to be face to faceā€¦

And yet, face-to-face communication often works a long sight better. Not always, but often.
Human nature hasnā€™t changed so much, I guess.

I like the idea of regularly scheduled Committee Chairs Meetingsā€¦ We had one last September. It wasnā€™t very well attended - mostly because people either forgot about it - or didnā€™t notice it on the calendar in time. Perhaps if they were scheduled out on a set schedule - like our Member Meetings are, then members would be more likely to remember. :slight_smile:

I am only available late nights and weekends.
Hopefully the members interested in attending will give some input as to a time best for themā€¦ Keep it as an ā€˜optionalā€™ meeting; and, members who are not interested wonā€™t need to bother respondingā€¦

I donā€™t know where Brandon is on this, but Iā€™ll toss it out there.
Posting to forums is not the only way to ā€œhave a meetingā€ without being physically in the same room.

Here are some lists/reviews of some (probably many duplicates).

Anyway, point is, yeah, web conferencing CAN suck, but it CAN also be a great tool for warping time and space to meet the needs of a large group of people with different schedules and physical locations. They CAN work even better if paired to physical meetings, tooā€¦
