I’ve got two 12” x 24” x 1” oak boards that I need to plane down to 3/4” or 5/8” thickness. Haven’t used the planer in a couple years and could use a refresher.

24” as in 24” wide? Or 24” long? Cause if the grain is running with the 24” meaning it’s length then I’ll be happy to show You but if it’s width out planer can’t do boards that wide and planning perpendicular to the grain isn’t a safe idea the teeth can catch pulling the wood into the blades and that’s just not a fun situation with a wood that dense

Oh ok yea I’d be more than happy to show you( given nobody’s adjusted the planer and gotten it out of wack before we can use it! Happens a lot recently) what time works for you?

Chris, I’m pretty flexible. I’ll be within 15-20 minutes of DMS from 3:00pm today, thru this Thursday at 8:00pm.
