I’d like to use something smaller than full sized desktop PC cases for these due to space constraints.
So what type of processor is preferred? There are more smaller boards for intel.
M2 hard drives seem to be faster can they also be considered?
Current gen i7 processors.
Either SATA or M2 SSD’s are fine.
Any desired price range?

I’m gonna need y’all to not dictate what the laser committee needs. Sometimes editing is needed for files on the PC. Rdworks can eat a file and not translate it properly requiring a quick fix. Having the computer be a slug isn’t going to help get anyone through the process faster
Don’t do this. It won’t stop the lasers. It will just be annoying.
Once the cut has started I could turn off the PC and it would still work
It’s already annoying enough that the computers don’t remember things like the zing settings, windows “fresh install prompts”, file defaults, desktop shortcuts, etc
Do the specs showing up in this thread look like we are specing out a slug?
@merissa asked that the new computers be at least as good as the one on the current Thunder. We are looking at getting the best deal with better performance.
Responding as I get to them
Sorry I wasn’t keeping up with this thread. I actually went ahead with ordering computers of like specs to the current thunder from Dell a few days ago. We’ll just need infrastructure to get us set up with software once they’re in.
Well, that answers that.
