Arlington Auction (tools)

Closing today starting at 7 PM, pickup tomorrow (Saturday.)

Looks like estate residue. Many old tools (like corded electric in metal housings) - old files (should be pretty good) and what looks like useful shop stuff.

I’m not bidding because I can’t pick up in the window allowed.

Includes a Shape-Rite Shaper if you are into vintage machine tools.

If there is something that you want to bids on, I can pick it up for you.

Thanks for sharing! I can maybe arrange to pick up (reasonably sized) items and bring to DMS if you need?

We may have different definitions of “reasonably sized” But thanks for offering

Boy oh boy that shaper is tempting.

Probably go cheep

But maybe not as cheap as I expected. Already at $655

845 is what it went for.

I ended up winning 49 of the 450 lots. Pretty sure I was bidding against a few people I know from DMS. Got most items really cheap but a few went higher than I had hoped. Was trying for the Wilton bullet machinist vice but I was juggling too many tabs and it got away from me when I got outbid the last time. The shaper went way higher than I thought it would. Was going to try and grab it if it had stayed below $500. It will be a huge haul tomorrow when I go to pick up everything I won.

I also bought a few items - now where to put them…

I got caught up in something and didn’t catch that I was outbid at the last second on some of the warehouse/packaging supplies I was going for!

The items I did win are pretty small (air hose reel being the largest) - any chance they could hitch a ride with someone doing a pickup today? Happy to add a tip for the trouble.

If not and I drive down I’m happy to bring other members’ items to DMS as long as they fit in my pickup (just a bit of a trek from The Colony).

Thanks all!

P.S. Unless it’s for charity I don’t want to bid against y’all again. :stuck_out_tongue:
