Are Faceshields permitted in place of masks

Just a general question. Any reasonable response will suffice.

I am wearing a faceshield & Someone mentioned to me that faceshields are not permitted and that there are postings all over DMS about masks/face coverings. The notices throughout DMS doesn’t say what is NOT permitted. I just need clarity, not trying to break the rules.

Given that unfiltered exhaust masks are NOT allowed, I think shield alone is ALSO not permitted, for the same reason: primary purpose of the mask is to keep each person’s emissions unto themself.
