Are classes open to the public or just makerspace members

Classes may be free and available, but only members may use Makerspace tools.

this class wont require that, and if so, i’ll just do the work for them if needed for any tweaks to the kits.

Yes and no. I believe that we don’t allow non members to use the nasty mean tools in the shop areas, but we do allow non members to use the tools in conjunction with classes in CA, Electronics, 3D Fab, and Digital Media. I see no reason that VECTOR couldn’t do the same thing.

Correct, we’ve always allowed limited tool use for classes.

And by limited I mean you can’t create a class like “Learn how to use all the tools at the space, class duration 24h, mostly unsupervised”.

I would like to believe the same thing, but there have been debates about that before on Talk. I’m just raising a flag on an issue that might bite Rodney.
