April 3D Fab Committee Meeting and Work Session

Here’s a reminder that the April 3D Fab committee meeting is this Saturday, followed by a working session!

Come help 3D Fab solve exciting and interesting “challenges”! Or, at least stop by to see if there’s any free pizza left…

If you can’t make it to the meeting or work session, please use this post to discuss any 3DFab thoughts and feels you might have!

The meeting will be available both online and in-person (observing COVID safety practices, of course).

Some topics we’ll discuss:

  1. Committee status
  2. Review Trello board
  3. Need for core volunteers and ways to promote involvement
  4. Discuss 3D scanner needs and options
  5. Discuss the state of the resin printer station, and potential improvements
  6. Form2 sale status

For the work session, we need help with the following:

  1. List Form2 resin printers for sale on eBay
  2. Clean out the FormWash, attempt to repair
  3. Printer cable management cleanup (lots of Ethernet cable tangled with power cables and putting strain on connectors)
  4. General printer maintenance
  5. Storage organization, cleanup, etc.
  6. Create a list of 3D scanner candidates (under $2k) for review and discussion
  7. Print new webcam mounts
