Hey guys, not sure if this is the right category for this, but I’ve got a bedframe I plan to sand down and re-stain to match the rest of my furniture. Is it cool to apply the stain at DMS? I know paint has been an issue due to ventilation, but I’m not very familiar with the ventilation requirements of wood stain, or their standing at the space. Any thoughts?
Just get some butcher block paper or cardboard to protect the table tops.
Also, try to be considerate of the solvent fumes. Personally, I would take a work table to the back parking lot and do the staining outside weather permitting. Less chance of saw dust settling on the wet surface. Good luck with the project.

I am not as concerned about fumes as much as what is the proper way to dispose of oil-soaked rags and paper towels to prevent spontaneous combustion.

I think the short answer is: cans good, aerosols bad.
…and please don’t leave a mess behind.
