yeah, don’t expect wood gallery to be cheap.

Maple is generally easy to find but in either raw (1/42") or paper backed (10 mil). Woodcraft has some 1/16" at:

2 Places to go:

Wood Gallery in Dallas as previously stated. They specialize in the fabrication of fine hardwood plywood, architectural panels, domestic and exotic veneers. Ryan Lee is the V.P., a great guy and is currently lending me a hand with my RCA 816K project.

The other place to go is Certainly Wood Certainly Wood | Full-service veneer merchants since 1983 They are domestic and exotic veneer merchants who will have your 1/16th maple stock.

Please beware of 1/16 Maple veneer…especially larger widths. There may be cutter chatter due to the inherent nature of the wood and cutting process.
