So in the cabinet for the tools there are clearly some jigs for use with the late. I just have the Lather basic under my belt so I don’t have training in any of these. I was hoping someone could give me an idea what some of these are for if possible.
I don’t know which attachments you’re referring to without seeing either pictures or a more detailed description. I’m pretty sure that the lathes aren’t allowed to be operated without taking the class first, so taking the class is probably your best bet for learning what they are. I’ll gladly describe what I know of them (provided I actually know, which isn’t guaranteed) if it’s just a matter of curiosity.
Without a picture, I am only guessing, but they may be for sharpening the tools.
Best thing to do, in the absence of specifics here, is ask around when you are there. Lots of people with knowledge always turning nowadays, both day and in the evenings, and would be happy to answer questions.

He did take the class, BTW. Jigs were not covered when I took it.
