Anyone interested in an Network Administration Interest Group?

Anyone Interested in an Network Administration interest group with video, audio, and book study materials to fast track people to administrate networks? The material and lab would be focused on helping people pass certification exams? I am starting to study Network Administration and would like to gather a collection of study materials and build a test network to practice. Once a library and test network is setup it could be left for others to do a self-paced / self study program.

Therefore, anyone with old cisco networking stuff and Networking study material would be a help.

Daryll, I know you know this but I’ll just post it for anyone else:
DMS does have a ton of old Cisco switches and routers for anyone to practice on (use them at the space; do not take them home, please). I believe they are currently in the rack in the Science Committee area.

If there’s sufficient interest, I’d be happy to set it all up on a separate network for anyone to play with. You won’t be able to connect it to the DMS network (BPDU guard is enabled for our protection), but you can do whatever you want with it.

Yes… But the idea is good. Equipment is not really necessary is much easier to use simulators…

I’m trying to get in touch with people that are interested in this subject. If you don’t have any interest in networking or you believe the thread is dead why waste your valuable time and bandwidth to post here?

PS. No need for answer.

Should you, after duly searching for the misplaced item, discover that you do in fact possess a sense of humor, you might make use of it, while also realizing that summoning up a thread which has been dead more than a year, might not be the best way to generate interest in a topic given that the existing thread had already determined such interest wasn’t much in attendance.

Best of luck.
