I’m building a window a/c unit frame/ledge. I am putting a window a/c into my garage, got the unit cheap and its brand new, one of those scratch and dent sort of things. Anyway, I cut the hole in the side of the garage yesterday. Now I need access to a welder… I have used mig in the past building cars so I’m fairly competent with it. I’m in Carrollton and was wondering if there was someone around that wouldn’t mind opening their garage for an hour or two.

Wish I’d seen this earlier. I’ve got a flux core in Terrell that would work just fine for this but I’m hanging out in Carrollton right now.
do you still need a MIG unit ?
I do actually. I’d like to get this put together this week, need to cut the pieces out today maybe. If I can’t gain access to one I may find a fab shop in the area. Not big deal, the times are crazy right now.

No worries, I actually thought of a better solution that’s hidden and was very simple to do. I was over-engineering things.
