I was making some "this table/tool/room is reserved for a class at __________ " signs - laminated and all sorts of functional fancy for CA. @Photomancer suggested I make more for the tools & tables around DMS.
Does anyone have a handful of magnets (nothing crazy powerful just functional) I could use to attach to the back of them? I could easily order them on amazon but I felt I should try and save us $20 for this small task.
I would think any - they would be glued to the back of…basically a card.
I found some cheap ones via AS&S (thanks @publius) 24 for like $6 (shipping?)
I didn’t suggest them for the other tools about the space. You had that idea and signs done for CA classes It as while you were pondering if CA Hot Pink might be too much for the sensitivities outside of CA. I only suggested magnets since almost every other machine we have is metal.
I’m sure Tanners has magnets. Will stop by there this afternoon. If they have them I’ll grab a dozen or so and donate to Space
Craft stores sell inexpensive stick-on magnets. They are not strong, but powerful enough to hold a sign to a metal surface. You can probably even find them at WallyWorld or dollar stores.
@uglyknees Stopped at Tanner’s, got 6 rare earth magnets rated at .57 Stone (8 pounds). Signs aren’t heavy but this will prevent slippage of sign since the rating is pull away.
They are in Teaching Supply cabinet stuck to clipboard.
Tanners has both the rare earth mags like I bought for signs Nicole was making because were light and stronger but more costly. They also sell ferro magnets a lot cheaper. Close by, no special trip.
