At the last Creative Arts Committee meeting, we had about four people “in person” at DMS, and two via video connection. It became obvious that the audio on my six-year-old MacBook Pro is failing.
At a guild committee meeting earlier this week, the sound quality of people using wireless headphones/microphone was MUCH better than those using a desktop computer setup.
I have a spiffy stand that I bought a year and a half ago for my iPad Pro that is actually pretty awesome for zoom or google meet meetings. Thus, I would prefer to use my iPad Pro instead of laptop, with some sort of speakerphone setup to utilize if more people than just I are on DMS premises for the meeting. (I wish you could connect to a single device with more than one bluetooth headset, as I can hear what’s going on a lot better via earbuds in my ears, but that’s apparently not an option at this time. Sad face).
I looked at speakerphone doodads on Amazon, and there are SO. MANY. OPTIONS. that had good ratings. Which may or may not be truthful. So, I’m turning to you, the hive brain, for opinions. Since this is something I would be buying myself (not a committee purchase), I’d like to keep the price under $150 if possible.
