I and another member are interested in using the printmaking space. Is there any way to schedule an orientation, or is there one coming up?
We don’t really have a specific orientation class, but our primary teacher has two classes on Saturday with a break from 4-6pm. If you can drop by then Astrud can probably answer your questions.

Ok, update from Astrud. She was planning on going off-site between classes for a meal so it might not work out the way I thought.
What are you looking for? Quick guided tour showing what we have available, or getting checked out to use equipment?
If you have prior experience it’s possible she can add you in with a quick chat and/or glance at a portfolio. If you’re totally new you would need to take the different classes for the specific equipment involved (letterpress, screen press, etching press, etc)
Side note: The reason I’m speaking for Astrud (@Print_Witch ) is she prefers to avoid Talk, and has me deal with keeping up with the ongoing topics as needed.
I’m completely new to print making. I had to take an orientation class for ceramics but wasn’t sure if I had to take one for print making as well. I really wanted to start making block prints but I’m unsure of what equipment I would need to use.
I’m new to DMS and new to silkscreen printing. I’m also interested in an introductory class so I can start using the equipment.
Next batch of classes from Astrud should go up for dates in September. There might be some of the basic classes going up from another teacher, but I can’t speak with any confidence on specific timelines.
