Any MULTICAM CNC Trainings

Does anybody have any Multicam trainings planned soon?

Yes.

There are plans to schedule the November MultiCAM class soon.

Unfortunately, there are very few people qualified to teach that class. Most members who take the class never complete the process by taking the test. Once you take the class and get some experience on the machine, you could make a lot of new members happy by volunteering to be one of the teachers so that the class could be taught more often.

@Owen_Soccer22 , can you train now? I would like to get certified to use the Multicam. I own a Shapeoko 3XXL at gone but I need to do bigger than 32 inch cuts.

Thanks.

No I am not an authorized trainer. I took the class with @Kentamanos, but haven’t tested out yet. So I’m not authorized to use yet either. I think @AlexRhodes offers the class often. You’ll need to wait for one to be offered in order to be trained and then test out to use the Multicam. Keep an eye out for upcoming classes.

I added a class for the 24th. It should appear on the calendar in 72 hours.

Thank you @AlexRhodes. Looking forward to it. I already have the G-code (for Shapeoko 3) ready to go with Tool Path (if it is compatible that is). I was about to cut it with a locator pin/jig and then flip it to fit. I’ll just wait to attend the class now.

I need this class also for an upcoming project. Is there a better way to be notified when classes are posted than to look several times a day (before they fill up)? I have a hard time getting into classes.

You can volunteer to be an honorarium auditor and get a minimum 72 hour notice on some classes…:smiling_imp:

I’m going to chime in as interested too. Hopefully I won’t miss it when the class rolls out to the calendar.
