Any leads on a machine shop for a few hundred small parts?

Hello Gang!

Any recommendations for a local metal shop that takes small jobs? Essentially the part is a heat treated 1.5" L x .25" D piece of tool steel rod with diamond knurling and two grooves cut into one end. Similar to this…

I have made a few prototypes at The Space, but am looking to have them made because, well to be honest, I don’t really want to make and heat treat a hundred of them.

At the Design2Part show I came across a few people who expressed interest, but they went silent after the show.

Thoughts, ideas, feedback?

Thanks,
Mark

If your part can be done on a Haas, I know a small shop that can run your parts. Not sure they can do heat treating.

PM me and I’ll give you their contact info.

Try www.eMachineshop.com, You can either email them a drawing or design it yourself using their free software. They don’t do heat treating, but they do knurling as a secondary porcess.
