I thought that, at least in the US, one way transmission was not allowed except for things like code practice and ARRL bulletins. I’m likely missing something.

What defines the line between attended and unattended per FCC? I did some reading a while back seeking to understand whether repeaters are considered attended or unattended and I don’t recall if I got a satisfying answer that was applicable to things other than repeaters which are clearly permitted.
