Amateur Radio Committee Meeting, Sunday April 12th @ 10am

Hi all.

I would like to propose an Amateur Radio Committee meeting on Sunday at 10am in the Hands-On Classroom.

If @ke5bud is able to attend, we can walk through the radio setup he has assembled for us. Well Played Mister Justin!

There is also a goal of discussing our next Amateur Radio Committee Chairperson. I have mentioned that I am looking to step down, as I am spread thin with other responsibilities and thus holding-up this fine group.

Feel free to reply with comments. If you are unable to attend in person but can wrangle the Google, let me know and we will try to work something out.

10am is normally too early for me as I attend weekly worship services, but I will be at
Wood Badge this weekend until sometime later Sunday afternoon. I would like to thank
Ben for his efforts, and appreciate his wisdom in stepping down. I also am overburdened
with other responsibilities so I cannot step up this year for our HAM or Craft committees.

I would like to nominate the following two persons for next chair of the ARC:

1)Pat “BUFF” Hykkonen @hykkonen
He has continued to host classes and provide expert advise to us newer licensees.

  1. Justin Edwards @ke5bud
    As evidenced by his recent activity, he has the gumption and skill set to further our committee

I have a class at the space at 4:30 Sunday afternoon. If we could perhaps have the ham meeting at 2:00 ish I can make it.

Or later in the evening on a Sunday works for me. 10am is prime working in the yard time. :smile:

I’m in the router class from 4:30 to 8:30. If we can work around that, I’m in. :slight_smile:

I can be there just about any time on Sunday, except really early. Must sleep!

Although I appreciate the nomination for chair of the ARC I decline. There needs to be someone in that position who has the ability to spend more time at the space and move the group along. I second the nomination for @ke5bud as the next committee chair. I will continue to participate by organizing and teaching classes and serve as the club trustee at the wishes of the committee chair.

I work at noon this Sunday, so 10am is perfect for me… though I know that I am in the minority.

I am going to be up at DMS all day Sunday, although after the event I will
be focused on working with Paul & Allen on DMS taxes.

It’s a loose agenda, so prompt 10am is not essential. But I do need to look
towards wrapping myself up about noon.

I intend to be there and will try to be prompt at 10 but it depends on how fast I can wake up.
