Airbrush 101 Class

I participated in the Airbush 101 class last the night! The class was awesome! Using the Airbush is a lot easier than I thought!

Rio - You did a great job teaching the class last night! Thanks!

Instead of another master airbrush and compressor, could we get a better quality airbrush such as the iwata neo?

We already have a compressor and hose splitter for multiple users.

So this is a good question I would like to pose to the space and get opinions - do we go ahead and invest in higher end equipment or do we flush it out with several lesser expensive and upgrade as interest grows?

Personally my gut tells me to buy several airbrushes for classes so people can work along and learn (as in probably 6) and one nice for more experienced users for private projects. That’s me.

I’m open to either direction. What do you guys think?

This pretty much is the best plan for any gear at the space.

Inexperience often kills sophisticated tools. Even seemingly indistructable tools lead hard lives at DMS.

grex airbrush is great i love mine

my best recommendation would be to get the several airbrushes for the classes so people can learn and fallow along, then get one or two higher end for those who completed the class have access to a better quality air brush.

The goal is to ultimately have three sets of airbrushes based on media: Paint, Make-up, and eventually Food. This will prevent cross contamination. Extremely important for Food and also Make-up.

Suggestions for brands/types of airbrushes to buy for the class set? This should be a good solid learning tool - task master.

Main thing is they will all have the same fittings.

Hello Rio,

I think I had signed up for the Airbrush class for tomorrow, but it doesn’t show up on my calendar for some reason. Would it be possible for you to check and let me know. If you can email me at [email protected] or text me at 972-693-6860, I’d truly appreciate it.
