Air band radio available

Does anyone want this ancient air band radio? It’s AM and transmits and receives in the aircraft COM band. I do not know whether it conforms to the modern frequency spacing or not.

Because of what it is and the potential to cause trouble I will only give it to a licensed HAM (or a pilot).

@wandrson @zmetzing

The brick is the battery, which attaches to the core to make it about double the length. I don’t have the charger for this NiCad battery.

Looks like it has the proper frequency spacing (25 kHz) for the modern frequencies. If nobody else claims it, I’ll take it to toss in my flight bag.

If @zmetzing doesn’t grab it I would like it but I leave Friday morning so I would have to meet you tomorrow.

@ke5bud I probably won’t make it out there tomorrow, but it’s been sitting around my house for a couple of months. I’m not in a super rush.

Sadly I leave the area in the AM for quite some time.

If neither of those guys grabs it, I’ll take it as well… pilot and HAM. But I too will be gone Saturday to OK, and next week to DC, both trips on a Hawker :slight_smile:
