I got some locations from Mike Jury for purchasing wood, but what about something like Baltic birch plywood?
Central Harwoods has great Baltic Birch in basically any grade/thickness you want.
Obviously, we hope folks like Frank will jump in with specific, personal experience recommendations, but more generically, there’s a page on the wiki that’s been collated from those times this has come up before; most of the time, the recommended places are on this list.

Central Hardwoods is great. For small pieces of birch plywood, Rockler has 'em in 12 and 18mm (~1/2 and 3/4). They might have 6mm too. I just bought some 18mm x 24x30" for $10.49.
Dakota hardwoods is where I get my 1/4 Baltic Birch. $11 for a 5’x5’ sheet
I order from Plywood Company of Ft. Worth. https://www.plywoodcompany.com/
They have a wide selection of plywood and lumber. They also offer cutting/routing/planing services, and delivery.
Thanks! Figured there was something like that out there. Still leaning the ropes!
Dakota has a 10% discount for members of the MakerSpace.
Tom & team are great at Hardwood Lumber. For lumber, they let you pick out the piece you want.
Most places will cut down the plywood for $5 per cut. Central asks for 24 hour notice.
