Adding glass to bookends

So I bought some beautiful clear glass horsehead bookends at a thrift store. Then I got to thinking, is there a way to add more glass inside? Like I was thinking it would cool in a rainbow spectrum?

Edited to say they are hollow inside.

You could probably fill them with marbles, or glass blobs.

Normal glass has a Coefficient of Expansion (COE) of 84 +/- 3. That means you can’t fuse it, as glass COE needs to match perfectly or the fused piece cracks.

You might also paint them with glass enamels. I don’t think that we have any available. Supplies like that aren’t always available.

Vincent likes Colors for Earth, but they are pricier.

Thanks for the suggestions! I kind of figured it wasn’t really possible to recite the glass but figured I’d ask. I’ll probably just leave them as is.

Layers of colored resin should give u a coooool look
