A splash of color

I was surprised by the inordinate amount of joy this variation in cup color brought to me this morning. Thank you to whoever bought them. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Speaking of color …

We now have a 44 inch poster printer. Perhaps we can have a contest to come up with a mural for the top of the common room going all the way around… @Team_PR

Unless framing is going to be purchased paper will not hold up well over time. We could do it decoupage on insulation board or foam core mounting. If we want to make it a PR event a decent option is to make it open to anyone (not just members) with online voting and a prize. More eyeballs

I was thinking more like wall paper but I’m not picky on how we mount it … I just think it would be great to have and bring more life into the space

Doable on the wide format printer once it’s stocked up properly.

I would say that since the consumables are a higher cost than say laser, even internal DMS printing (be it PR, logistics, or committees in general) will need to have a cost to be paid.

I’ll look into media options and see if it is price efficient to do it on our printer. I’d like to say custom wallpaper can be had for like $50 a roll…but I’m also thinking we can find blank media and PR could purchase it?

Check with GSG, the same company that you purchase your vinyl from for the vinyl cutter. They stock rolled paper for this machine. A 150 foot roll of 24 inch wide bond paper had cost me $13 just a few weeks ago.

90lb? I found blank wallpaper media, so far about $100 a roll but it seems the standard weight is 7mil

Dang it. I knew I should’ve got a soda with sonic ice when I was there today!

What types of things would you want to see in the mural?
