So I needed a pair of tiny clamps and found these online and ordered them. They arrived today and were perfect, but much smaller then I expected. They reminded me of your work. I figure if a assembly line could produce such a tiny, but useable metal clamp, what could your mastery turn out?
Yeah, Chris. Can you make a 1/12th scale version of that?
She’ll make one small enough to pinched 'ol George’s nose.
Wow! That is an excellent suggestion! I happen to have a set of engineering drawings for a larger version of those, so that’s a great place to start.
I will have to scale it up a bit because the smallest bolts I can thread/tap are 00-90. That’s OK because I know those clamps come in larger sizes.
But I doubt if I can engrave the text on it.
I recently finished a pair of Jorgensen hand screws (i.e., clamps) so the Kant Twist clamp would be a nice complement.
The Jorgensen clamps work, but they were a whole lot harder than they look. Each threaded screw has one end with RH threads and the other end with LH threads. And in one clamp the two screws aren’t the same …
