“The 2015 3D Printer Guide is based on the reviews of 2,279 verified 3D Printer owners. Their collective 1623 years of 3D Printing experience coupled with 317,000 prints completed on 235 different 3D Printer models, makes this the most comprehensive guide available.”
Cool guide,
It seems to be almost solely on the rosy side of descriptions, with the cons of the printers being over shadowed. Example RoStock being a bit difficult to calibrate, I think we have a few members that would have choice words for how to calibrate the printer. Looked at about 10 or 15 reviews cool site.
@Nick Rostock Max V2 with the SeeMeCNC support is the difference between their calibration and our Rostock. I think the Kossel and Mendel 90 they mention calibration too for advanced/pro’s. I hope we can address standard calibration in the class. What I’m dealing with is non-standard parts which I think is causing me more grief than it’s worth.
It’s a pretty well written guide but Make Magazine’s 3D printer guide was more thorough I thought with their standardized test prints. I would like to see what Make magazine would say about the PolyPrinters (maybe next year’s guide)
@Opcode - Thanks for the link, Richard! Interesting information and I like the way they outlined the weight of their ratings for each section!
