3D Printing Beginners Class?

I’m interested in getting started with the 3D printers. Is anyone planning a Beginners class in the next few weeks?

Also, is there any tips/tricks stuff on the wiki? I didn’t see anything after a quick look.

There’s a class pretty frequently, every other week I think. The next one is this coming Wednesday at 8:15

That’s just the safety introduction class. It barely tells people enough to start the machines without burning yourself. I think OP is looking for something more extensive.

I wouldn’t say that, it was plenty enough for me to get started; I printed my first item that night without supervision. Mitch covered generating the g-code (not advanced stuff, but all the basic settings and what they do) and sending through the printer. Of course if someone wants to learn to make their own models, that’s another animal entirely.
