3D printed organs - welcome to the future

Abdominal cells regressed to stem cells then 3D printed to form a complete heart with muscle, circulatory system, etc.

Fascinating tech: still has a way to go, though.

This is an exciting step. Have a trained working heart will be next. This is a very exciting area of medicine.

To grow replacement orgains that will not have rejection issues because they are grown from that person’s tissue.

Degenerative heart disease will cease to exist.

Liver disease. Kidney disease. Skin grafts for people who are burn victims. Nerve regrowth for victims of spinal injury or some forms of deafness.

The OMG amazing stuff will be repairing or replacing teeth, growing new eyeballs and the holy grail, repairing brain damage.

In 10 years we are going to start making some amazing progress with cancers. We are on the cusp of some incredible cures.

Meanwhile, on the non biological front we will start adding machinery to our bodies too.

Good stuff.
