3D FAB RULES REFRESHER (for those who like to not follow rules)

It seems here latley we have had alot of people in 3D Fab who are either selfish or don’t care about rules…here’s your refresher course on the most popular ignored ones.

-If there is a que or even just a single person waiting on a printer, and your print finishes…DO NOT START ANOTHER PRINT! Your print time is over at that moment and you get off for the next in line. (I WILL start being an asshole and pulling ppl off when if I see it)

-NO ghosting printers by putting random names on them and doing multiple prints

-DO NOT leave DMS Filament in the printer when done…I mean this one is pretty self explanatory

-CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES!! This isn’t even that hard people.

Im sure im leaving stuff out but these are the things Ive personally witnessed and from this point on I WILL start to enact my own brand of ‘3D Fab Enforcement’ and that means pulling prints or confronting members then so be it.

Except this wasn’t explained when I took 3d Printer Basics a few months ago. I don’t use DMS filament anymore, but I wasn’t aware of this rule.

I, too, was under the impression one should leave the filament in the printer, so one has a “handle” to remove the filament, if one desires, on next heatup…
to be fair, I’ve printed roughly nothing since I attended the course, but that was still my impression.

noun: ghosting

  1. the appearance of a ghost or secondary image on a television or other display screen.
  2. the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication.

I am struggling to understand what televisions or personal relationships have to do with random names and multiple prints.

To follow the “NO ghosting” rule I will need some explanation.

Say for instance you wanted to be a jerk and use two printers at a time.
You wouldn’t want to write BRIAN on both, so you would write BRIAN on one and then maybe RYAN or HUMPHREY I dunno.

The idea is one person per printer during peak times so that everyone can print in a timely manner.

Axie has asked that only one print per person be the standard it does not matter if its off hours or prime hours.

Daryl, I understand your upset but Axie is the only one who has the authority tro pull a print, for you to do so would be in viloation of the rules you are complainign that no one follows.
