2D software for use to create dxf files

Hi,

I just completed CNC Plasma Cutter training and was looking for a way to create dxf files at my home. Is there a way for me to access solidworks or other software to create files I can use for the CNC Plasma Cutter?

I was able to convert QCAD Professional Trial to Basic QCAD (free) by deleting several plugins. It worked great and now I am off and using QCAD Basic. No longer a need for SolidWorks.

I use QCAD, it can run from a thumb drive so very handy to have on my keychain.

Thanks guys. As I mentioned, I was able to get QCAD for free by deleting a few plug-ins. Works great now. I may try to add it to a thumb drive just for convenience sake.
