2D Profile Toolpath + V-Bit, Ramp Plunges?

When cutting a 2D profile with a V-Bit should I ramp plunge moves?

What is a good distance to use?

I have been using 50mm with other end-mills. It is not a good choice. I suspect something much shorter (25mm?) will work much better.

A standard V-Bit will cut it’s way into the material so ramping isn’t required. Ramping will however be easier on the machine and the bit especially if it’s a deep cut. Kind of a judgement call here.
