Very interesting topic Community radio station WBAI in NYC is now just a remote feed. Exactly what the world needed.
Been telling the guys we need to simulcast to other stations since the early 00’s. Either way it it sounds like they’re not legally allowed to be “just a remote feed” and are supposed to be able to operate as normal but someone’s just being a gilipollas.
It’s kind of one of those things at this point though; a toss up of do we start campaigning to support the station and 2600 or do we grab the popcorn and enjoy the show?
I for one lean towards supporting 2600 but don’t believe the public radio side of things has much of a future though I get the reason for the fight an fully believe they can and should fight back.
Yep. I’ll take community radio over a feed from a remote entity any day.
