Briefly, today is the final day to cast your ballot in the election. Please send in your electronic proxy via DocuSign, drop your mailed proxy off in the Finance box in the common room if you haven’t mailed it already, or reach out to me if you’re having issues with your electronic proxy.
If you put a box someplace after the election, I’ll be glad to return my unused mailing envelope. They could be used again next year. Every little bit adds up …
Finance box should work.
A first class stamp is currently $0.55. Add a nickel for the envelope and multiply by a couple hundred (swag) non-used envelopes and you’re north of $100 in savings.
(Edited to fix my sloppy mental math)
This isn’t quite right, but we have ~280 voting members at the moment (who should all be voting…), I think the best guess at the moment is 50 USPS proxies returned, so that’s about $138 in stamps+envelopes unused.
I know, I was disappointed the cost was so low. I was hoping we could save money with business reply mail (because who doesn’t want to send business reply mail), but we’d need something like 600 voting members before it became worth it.
I’m hoping mine arrived at DMS in the mail today.
Officially, the e-proxy voting expires in about 2 minutes, however I will accept e-proxies that arrive between then and whenever I close things down tomorrow before the meeting.
