10x10 show, annual open house?

Will there be another 10x10 show?
Am working on ideas and need to get making.

I think @Team_Creative_Arts is still the one that does the 10x10

It is run by CA. It is typically an annual event.

PR is planning on this occurring in September.

I have not yet participated in this event, and would very much like to do so this Fall. Please keep us all posted on the particulars as they emerge.

Roger and I haven’t really discussed it. We will and we will get back with everyone.

@uglyknees let me know how I can help. I’m not organizing this year because my brain is still fried from last year, but I can help hang things.

I participated last year and enjoyed all the displays. I look forward to participating again.

FYI: 60x60 inch 12 mm Baltic birch yields 36 10x10 boards, and at $55 each costs about $1.53 each. Maybe by “advertising” in wood shop, can start accumulating 10x10’s from scrap!

OK, still pretty new here and have no idea what a 10x10 show is … but … I have a source for 5/8" x 48" x 60" laser quality baltic for $25/sheet. That gets the cost per 10x10 to about $1.05, assuming 5/8" thickness is acceptable.

It is an art show that each piece that people make is no more than 10 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches deep.
We put them up in the hallways …

What is max weight now that they are hung differently?

Max? you’re joking right? I’m sure Diplomat can add a few more monofilament lines to hold a few more kilos…

I think last year we have at least 1 that weighed in at 10 pounds. The rails did a good job.

For those who are new. Look at the top of the hallways to CA. There are rails and monofilament line to hang artwork with so we do not have to punch holes in walls and then repair the holes. The black and white State Fair exhibit uses a few.
