1/8 Plywood (please help!)

If anyone could help me i would appreciate it a bunch.

I seem to be looking for something that is just slightly rarer than a unicorn. 1/8 plywood that actually measures .125. Its all 3mm import not that the dimension is a huge deal just that the 3mm has very thin vaneer and just is not very good quality. the domestic 1/8th has three plys that are roughly the same thickness and just overall better quality and produce better looking finished product. I see real 1/8 (that measures .125) all the time in the scraps around the laser cutter and basically what i designed my part for a long time ago i was using real 1/8th. I tried central hardwood, fort worth plywood, craddock lumber, rockler, hobby lobby all 3mm

if anyone has any info let me know!

Aircraft supply stores have metric (non-moonwalker) and wonderful walk-on-the-moon noble traditional English inch measurement wood.

You’re right about that. And 2x4’s are 1.75" thick if you’re lucky.
It’s been - geez, 20 years since I’ve seen actual 1/8" plywood. When I need actual 1/8" I use hardwood and plane it down myself. Them is the times we live in.

uhmmm… I have not seen this.
Baltic/Finnish/Russian Birch has consistent layer thicknesses, including the skins. Even the utility grade is fantastic stuff.
Home Depot does not carry this. It carries some “cabinet grade”, but that has thin skins.

You might try Rugby, in addition to David’s link.

World over, Ply has standardized on metric. I am waiting for the bits in the US to catch up.

Good luck in your quest. Let us know the results.
