Yarn on freebie shelf

Sooo…we had a fabulous yarn/needle/tool donation to fiberarts. Lots of stuff we could use to teach classes. Yay.

As usual, we assimilated the tools and refreshed the blue member yarn bin. Pulled out less used, added some of the new goodies.

Member yarn box, if you didn’t know, it’s mostly donations and used for teaching or random member projects. After latest sorting, it is now mostly solid color worsted weight weight acrylic we use heavily for teaching.

We culled a lot of stuff that had been in there a long time without activity, mostly baby yarn, novelty yarn, a strange fuzzy chenille wad that looked a little like a squished hamster (fortunately not, but still…), and some colors that were…interesting. A lot of the yarn isn’t bad, just stuff that doesn’t seem popular for the folks that dive in the yarn box here.

BTW, there were several skeins of baby yarn if you do charity projects.

Anyway, there is about 3/4 of a kitchen trash bag out on the freebie shelf. We’ve released it to the wild. May it find a good home.

Feel free to dig and take just what you want, or take the whole thing.
