Ok, let’s talk about some ways toidentify and enlist volunteers.
When a new memeber signs up, find out what field of interest attracted them to DMS. once Identified the committee chair people can contact them. A friendly hand shake, text or call can be used to identify both introductory paths, and volunteer opportunities.
Next, make the possible volunteer opportunities clear. While a lot of the committees have work days, repair days, or some other meeting, not everyone can be available at a fixed time. Figure out a way to offer improvement opportunities at other times.
And as part of the orientation for a given area asses the capabilities of the member for doing improvements. add that to the “profile”
