Saving Mother's Day: Dye Sub Art Party (April 30th)

I know it is short notice, but why change now? I am working with @uglyknees to host an art party to make Mother’s Day gifts.

Bring the kids, and let them create unique artwork, then we will scan it, and help you put it on a coffee mug, plate, or mouse pad. If you are particularly artsy, we can help you put a photograph on the items, instead.

The mugs and mouse pads will cost $5, and the plates will cost $10. Items will be paid for at the party, to cover the blanks, materials, and Texas sales tax. We ask that you please RSVP on EventBrite, so we can make sure we have enough items for everyone that wants to make something for Mom!

The event will be on the calendar soon, but you can get to the EventBrite page at https://SavingMomsDay.eventbrite.com.

We hope to see you there!

P.S. Thank you @John_Marlow for this great idea!

could people also email you the artwork? What size do you want it to be?

I’m excited!!

Sure they could.

A mug needs artwork that is about 8" wide by 4" tall, to get full coverage.

A plate will need an image that is a little bigger than 8" in diameter.

A mouse pad needs an image 9-1/2" by 8".

For best results, all artwork needs to by in these dimensions at 300 dpi.

Artwork can be sent ahead of the event to [email protected]. Please include your name and what item you intend it for.

This is awesome. I will have to bring the family since I’m on call next week.

Could you post some pictures of examples so people can see what the finished product can/will look like?

I’m interested in bringing my grandsons by for this… I can’t log into Eventbrite at the moment; but, will be able to in an hour or so… Is it too late to RSVP in order to have materials for them to use?

I should have plenty of blanks, @LisaSelk. We would love to have them.
