So today I had to use the pen disassembly kit. I ended up splitting the block of wood that goes with it. I didn’t have the time to cut a replacement so i put the split one in the drawer so it could be used as a template for the replacement.

No worries. It was just a random piece with a 7mm hole drilled in it. I’ll look for another piece.
More importantly, were you able to save your pen?
Unfortunately, no. At least not really. The acrylic shattered when I was press fitting the nib. Couldn’t get the nib off. So i have a tube and nib that i can’t use.
Soak it in acetone overnight and the ca glue will break down so you can try to salvage the kit, the blank is done for though.
Unfortunately, I used 2part epoxy and not CA. Also, at this point, its the nib stuck on the tube, not much of the blank left on the tube as it was fairly brittle anyways, so a tap with a wooden mallet freed the but from its captivity inside the blank I just need to get the Nib off so that I can re-use the tube and re-turn it.
