i wonder what that bid will run, too its a shame if the family doesn’t know what that watch could be worth
Auction end is 5 days out - a bunch of this stuff will have serious bidding then and likely not before.
Might be different for this particular auction, but my experience with this site has been that many items don’t go for much or won’t get any bids. It may be worth checking back in five days if you see something interesting.
What an incredible collection. Hoping I can bring some of it home in a few days.
I always wonder what things didn’t make it to auction on these types of listings. Guy probably had a shit load of other interesting things that the family took or are getting sold on more specialized sites.

I saw that Simpson meter. Too bad, I already that model in my collection.
So my curiosity got the best of me and I placed a $12 bid on this item…and won!

Not sure, but I bid on it. Saw it when I went to pick up my items.
Like I said, they were worth it. Shame I’ll never get to hold one.

So what makes that watch worth $3,000 at a small auction site? I imagine it’s much more abroad?
Depending on the exact model and condition the Omega’s can be upwards of $20k. One of the ones that was for sure identifiable was an Omega Spacemaster, which is the watch the astronauts wore. Not sure when exactly they stopped making them, but they are in pretty short supply. The only people I know that own them bought them in the 60s or 70s new (and haven’t let me hold one yet 
).
