LabVIEW Student / Maker edition

The latest donation from our friends at Mouser included some of these:

LabVIEW will be the tool of choice for working with these. We have a student edition on one of the eLab computers, but if you’d like to try it our on your own, there is a free 6 month ( renewable ) edition now.

Link below. You’ll have to sign up for the National Instruments forums and request a serial number.

Most likely after the move, I’ll try to get with Art and put together an introduction at least. There are lots of “getting started with LabVIEW” videos around too. The hardest part for beginners is learing what the icons for the various functions ( VIs - Virtual Instruments in LabVIEW parlance ) do. Just some very basic hands on tinkering is very helpful in this, so if you’re interested in learning more, I encourage you to grab a copy and get started.

Regards

Todd
