DMS Racecar will be adding horsepower for the next race

In addition to repairs and maintenance on the Nissan 240SX, the DMS Racecar will be getting some upgrades.
It will be adding horsepower, reducing rotating mass, and optimizing the fuel and timing in preparation for Lemon’s at MSR Houston November 9-10-11 weekend, a full 24hour endurance race.

Ordering long tube headers, an aluminum flywheel, and an ECU tuning box.
Soon, a set of tires.

Want to get plugged into the Motorsport committee? We meet most Thursdays at 7pm.

I’ll try and be there tonight. Are you guys going to be using the lift?

Brakes and suspension upgrades will improve lap times more than 20 or so HP this will gain

The car already has full stopping power (can lock up the wheels if you want) with no fade in endurance racing, if r compounds instead of street tires could be used then you are probably right that the stock brakes wouldn’t be enough, but they work great with the right pads as is.

For suspension it has lowering springs, larger sway bars, adjustable shocks currently. Coilovers or more adjustable control arms would be a step up, but it starts to get hard to hide things from the judges

Is the driver seat still in it’s odd location?
